One of the few quiet coffeehouse gems in Nashville, Edgehill Cafe, is re-branding and moving just a few doors down to a new spot in the Edgehill neighborhood. On November 9th, the new, more modern, Edgehill opens and they’ll be offering a full menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I had the chance to attend a media event on Monday and we sampled quite a few things from the menu. We all left with our tummies full and very happy!
Then we had a sampling of the Edgehill Burger made with locally-sourced ground beef and topped with smoked cheddar and house-made pickles. The bun on this burger is amazing and the fact that they’ve decided to make pickles in-house makes me love this place even more. Their fries are shoestring-like and perfectly crispy. You can also order any sandwich with a kale salad or salt and vinegar green beans in place of the fries.
By far my favorite dish of the night was the Smokehouse Pork and Cornbread Pudding. I LOVE cornbread pudding and the pork is cooked low and slow for this dish so it’s unbelievably tender and flavorful.
Some of the other menu options include: Farmer’s Omelet, Hot Chicken Sandwich, Toasted Quinoa Bowl, and Tomato Braised Beef Short Ribs [I’m coming back for you short ribs].
They also have a great patio space in front of the building, so I’m looking forward to making use of that once spring rolls around [can we just skip winter?]. Until then, I’ll be making use of the interior space once they officially open next week.
In addition to the coffee bar, wine, beer, and [soon] cocktails will also be available. You can read more about the new Edgehill spot on Eater Nashville.
