Chocolate Cherry Smoothie

Chocolate Cherry Smoothie

A deliciously creamy, Chocolate Cherry Smoothie made with silken tofu and dark sweet cherries.

You look like you could use a sweet, chocolate-y treat.

I have one just for you. And guess what….it’s GOOD for you, too.

This Chocolate Cherry Smoothie is naturally sweetened with dark sweet cherries and dates, deliciously creamy with the addition of silken tofu, and chocolate-y enough that it could be dessert!

April is National Soy Foods Month and the theme this year is “Simple Swaps with Soy.” Soy products like tofu, tempeh, soy milk, and others can be added or swapped in so many different ways to help reduce saturated fat and cholesterol in recipes (soy is naturally free of both of these!), and soy is a healthful addition to both vegetarian and non-vegetarian diets.

Have you tried silken tofu in smoothies?

Tofu is flavorless, so it blends well with anything you put it in and can be easily added to a lot of your favorite recipes for a protein boost. Try silken tofu in smoothies, soups, salad dressings, or in place of mayonnaise like in this recipe.

What’s your favorite way to enjoy soy?
