UncommonGoods

A huge thank you to UncommonGoods for letting me shop their site and test out a couple products before writing this post! I was not compensated for my time to write this review and as always, opinions are my own.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I took a quick trip to Birmingham, Alabama (<– travel recap) for the weekend with my girlfriends to visit a friend. We went to some of our favorite places like the Pepper Place Farmer’s Market, El Barrio for Saturday brunch, and Alabama Biscuit Company for breakfast on Sunday. Here’s a snap of my oatmeal from Alabama Biscuit topped with roasted pecans and maple butter. A bowl full of goodness!

Today’s post is a bit different from the usual but I’m really excited to share about the online marketplace UncommonGoods. If you’re looking for creative, handmade, unusual gifts or new pieces for your own home, this is the place for you!

With several weddings coming up this fall, this was the perfect place to find unique wedding gift ideas.  I also found a couple things to keep for myself, like this adorable owl cup. I can’t wait to use this for morning tea!I also found these unique soapstone bowls, which I just had to have. Not only are they beautiful, they’re perfect for ice cream. Place the soapstone dish in the freezer prior to scooping out your ice cream to keep it from melting too fast. It’s perfection!

Whether you’re shopping for baby shower gifts (check out this page) or birthday gifts (see this page), you’re sure to find something unique on UncommonGoods. Isn’t this handcrafted, felt Taco Dreams Mobile adorable?!

For couples getting married, UncommonGoods allows you to create a registry on their site to share with loved ones. And if you enjoy giving personalized gifts for any occasion, check out the collection UncommonGoods has available. I really love these Personal Shirt & Message Pillows—such a great way to showcase treasured t-shirts to tell a story.

What’s really cool is that once you’ve made a purchase with Uncommon Goods, they donate $1 to a Better To Give partner of your choice. I chose American Forests, which advocates for the protection and expansion of America’s forests. Since 1990, they have planted more than 40 million trees. As a founding member of B Corporation, an organization bringing awareness to consumers about the social and environmental impact of their purchases, UncommonGoods meets the standards on issues ranging from providing a living wage, to giving back to the community, to lessening their environmental impact.

Have you heard of or shopped UncommonGoods? Did any of the items mentioned in this post look interesting to you?

I hope you’ve enjoyed learning more about UncommonGoods, their mission, and found some gift inspiration in this post! Happy shopping 🙂
