And of course, we had to play ALL the games 🎯 My favorite was the word game because 🤓 Such a fun place to go with friends when you’re out in Nashville!

Soup season is here and I love the simplicity of this recipe for a Vegetable & White Bean Soup 🥄 All the ingredients go into the crockpot and it makes use of several nutritious, shelf-stable foods in addition to fresh veggies. On nights when I don't feel like spending much time cooking, canned foods are a life-saver!

Serve with crackers or cornbread and stay cozy, friends 🤗

Here's a recent one from Health.com, where I shared insights on 'how almonds before bed may give your sleep a gentle boost' 💤 I'm in good company in this article, quoted alongside Robin Tucker, PhD, RD, FAND and Julie Stefanski MEd RDN LDN FAND (@foodhelp123).

Ocean views, lighthouses, gorgeous fall leaves 🍁, good eats, scenic drives, and some of the friendliest people—that pretty much sums up our trip to Maine & Massachusetts!

Highly recommend a road trip starting in Bangor, ME (with a visit to Acadia National Park) down to Portland, and visiting Newburyport, MA (so charming!). Since we were so close to Salem on Halloween, we HAD to take the train in to see the spooky sights 🧙👻 There’s no one else I’d rather travel with than my better half, or dress up as PB&J 😂 Scroll through to see a creepy Michael Myers coming up behind me in Salem 🫣

Can’t wait to visit again soon!

What a week at FNCE 2025 in Nashville, y’all! 🎶🤠

I was honored to co-host the 9th annual #FNCEFriday with @janicebissex at @googooclusters, where we welcomed 100+ media RDs to kick-off the weekend with us! This was only possible thanks to our sponsors @oikos @silk @lifeway @kelloggus and @candyusa. Thank you so much to everyone who joined us ❤️

I soaked up so much from the sessions, especially around AI and how it’s shaping nutrition practice. A session highlight was @ellie_krieger ‘s talk on Cultivating Creativity for a Happier Life & a More Impactful Career 🌟

Big thanks to @minddietmeals for hosting Energize & Thrive (#EATFNCE25) — an afternoon full of movement, connection, and incredible food 🧡

Another event highlight for me was supporting @culinarynutritioncollab’s first-ever FNCE event, a Chopped Challenge that showcased just how creative and skilled dietitians & culinary RDs are👩‍🍳

And of course, no FNCE is complete without exploring the expo floor — catching up with favorite brands, tasting new products, and feeling inspired by the innovation happening. Not surprisingly, many products were geared towards gut health, and extra fiber or additional protein in snack foods 🥨🍎🫘

The week wrapped up perfectly with delicious BBQ and great conversation at the @eatwellglobal reception and Dietitians in Denim, thanks to fellow Nashville RDs, @anareisdorf & @chelsealeblancrdn 🤠

Feeling grateful and inspired (and still a little tired 😅) but so excited to do it all again next year in San Antonio!

Such a beautiful space 😍 to share 3 recipes—Mini Hummus Black Bean Burritos (also great as a dip!), Healthier Buffalo Chicken Dip (this is delish even if you don’t love buffalo wings), and Lemon White Chocolate Popcorn 🍿

I love leading culinary nutrition demos like this and the group had such great questions❓We talked about basic knife skills 🔪 to make ingredient prep a breeze, discussed fiber & protein in the recipes we made, and we squashed some myths around seed oils (pssst...they’re a-okay to use 💯).
