It was great to be back on @daytimetvshow to talk It was great to be back on @daytimetvshow to talk about heart health ❤️ I shared 3 simple recipes/meal ideas from my cookbook, The Everything DASH Diet Meal Prep Cookbook, and discussed foods we can ENJOY more of to support a healthy heart!

Have you tried a savory sweet potato before? People are often surprised at just how good a roasted sweet potato can be when topped with black beans, avocado, and salsa. I promise, it’s a tasty combo!

Each year, I choose a different word to focus on, Each year, I choose a different word to focus on, both in my personal & professional life. For 2025, my word was JOY because as I continued to grow my business, I wanted to intentionally choose work that I enjoyed, work with people who bring joy, and have fun along the way! Looking back on the year, I’m feeling that joy and also immense gratitude—for friends, family, and colleagues. Thank you for making 2025 a memorable and joyful year 💗

For 2026, my word is Connect 🤝I want to focus on building moments of deeper connection, and supporting friends, colleagues, clients by making helpful connections to better support them.

Do you choose a word or intention for the year? Would love to hear some if you’d like to share! Wishing you a very happy new year 🎊
Back again with another Weekly Bite 🍽️, sharing a Back again with another Weekly Bite 🍽️, sharing a ‘new-to-me’ packaged product that I’ve tried and how I’ve used it!

This week, it’s @amylufoods Italian-style Chicken Meatballs! We ❤️ Costco and initally found Amylu Foods there. We’ve tried several different products from them but last week was our first time trying this flavor. Like all the other meatball flavors we’ve tried so far from Amylu Foods, these were very flavorful! Whenever I use a pre-made meatball like this, I cut them in half and sear them to give a little texture & color on the outside 🍝

🌟 Nutrition tip: add veggies like mushrooms, spinach, onions, etc. to boost the fiber & nutrition value of your spaghetti dish!

There’s 3 servings per package so with the remaining meatballs we had, I made soup with veggies we already had on hand + a homemade tomato sauce made from our garden tomatoes this summer 🍅 Delicious 💯

How would you use Italian-style chicken meatballs? Have you tried any of the @amylufoods products?

Welcome to my first Weekly Bite, my new series whe Welcome to my first Weekly Bite, my new series where I share a ‘new-to-me’ packaged product that I’ve tried and how I used it 🍽️

First up— @littlepotatoco Hot Honey Potatoes 🥔 I actually received these as free samples thanks to @laurenlovesnutrition’s newsletter! While I’m no stranger to these cute little potatoes, I hadn’t tried their packaged, microwaveable potatoes with the seasoning pack.

They’re super easy to prepare and take just 5 minutes in the microwave. Once heated, you add the spice packet and its optional to add a little oil (which I did) to coat the potatoes. They paired well with seared salmon and roasted broccoli 🥦 They aren’t lying about the HOT part though, so if you don’t like heat, these aren’t for you. If you love some spice, you’ll enjoy them!

There are other flavor options (hello, garlic & Parmesan!) and I’d buy these for a convenient side dish option.

So have you tried these or another flavor option? What other products have you seen recently that I should try? Leave a comment or send me a DM!
Add this recipe for Chewy Chocolate Cookies with C Add this recipe for Chewy Chocolate Cookies with Cranberries from @abeautifulplate to your cookie lineup this holiday 🧑‍🎄🎄🍪 These live up to their name—they stayed soft & chewy for a week, and have a delicious balance of cranberry & chocolate 💯 I like that they recipe says to rehydrate the cranberries so they’re soft as you bite into the cookie ❤️

Thanks @cranberryinstitute for sharing the recipe card with me and sending dried cranberries to make these! Filing this one away for future use 😉

#client 🥛 It was so great to be in Lexington, KY o #client 🥛 It was so great to be in Lexington, KY on behalf of @thedairyalliance, to share all about dairy foods and staying well during the busy holiday season! We even had a snow day which made it feel even more festive ❄️

Let’s start with what we’re sipping on! Did you know dairy foods contain the important B vitamins we need to help process the food we eat into fuel for our bodies? By incorporating dairy foods throughout the day, we can get B vitamins like riboflavin, niacin, B12, and pantothenic acid in to help keep us energized. And if you like your coffee or matcha 🍵🙋‍♀️ in the morning, add real dairy milk to get protein + those essential vitamins and minerals you need 👏 👏

Next up, we talked about immune health (because nobody wants to be sick this time of year 🤒). Vitamin C often comes to mind in regards to immune support but we also need vitamin A and D, protein, selenium and zinc to help with immune function. Luckily, these nutrients can all be found in milk, and yogurt & cheese 🧀 also provide some of these nutrients. I shared a Creamy Balsamic Vinaigrette that pairs great with a festive, leafy green salad, and a recipe from TheDairyAlliance.com for Cinnamon Roll Overnight Oats—a delicious breakfast for the whole family!

Of course, we can’t talk about staying well without covering sleep 😴 💤 Research has shown that certain nutrients may help you sleep sounder—like tryptophan. And guess what...tryptophan is found in dairy foods so adding some milk to a calming herbal tea before bed can help you wind down and sleep sound. If you need a small snack before bed, try a cup of yogurt topped with berries & nuts or cottage cheese with fruit. In my book, Eat To Sleep, I discuss several different sleep-friendly bedtime snack ideas, several of which include dairy foods!

Have you heard any of these nutrition facts before about dairy? The great thing is, these tips apply year-round, not just at the holidays! Watch the full segment by clicking the link in my bio 🔗

And of course, we had to play ALL the games 🎯 My favorite was the word game because 🤓 Such a fun place to go with friends when you’re out in Nashville!

Thanks @play_playground & @thevoxagency for inviting us to check it out! Let me know if you’ve been before or are planning to go & experience Candied Land 🍫🍬🎄
