Asian Turkey Lettuce Wraps
On weeknights, I’m a big fan of quick and easy dinners. If it takes more than 30 minutes, I’m not going to mess with it. But these Asian Turkey Lettuce Wraps took less than 30 minutes to prepare and they’re packed lots of veggies and flavor! They would make a great appetizer too!
Asian Turkey Lettuce Wraps
Ingredients:
1/2 Tbsp. sesame oil
1/2 Tbsp. minced garlic
8 oz. lean, ground turkey
1/8 tsp. red chili flakes
1 tsp. soy sauce
2 Tbsp. oyster sauce, divided
1/2 c. green bell pepper, diced
1 cup broccoli slaw
1/4 cup green onion, sliced
1 Tbsp. water
Cilantro, torn
4 lettuce leaves, washed and patted dry
Directions:
1. Heat oil and garlic in a wok over medium heat. Add ground turkey, soy sauce, 1 T. oyster sauce, and red chili flakes. Cook meat until no longer pink.
2. Push meat up the sides of the wok to clear a space for the vegetables. Add green pepper, broccoli slaw, and green onion to the wok and cook for 1 mintue, then mix meat and vegetables together. Add remaining 1 T. oyster sauce and 1 T. water to mixture and stir to coat.
3. Add cilantro leaves and toss.
4. Divide turkey between the lettuce leaves. If you prefer more of a crunch, double-up on the lettuce leaves for each wrap!
