This Week’s Nutrition Adventures
Hey guys! The holiday weekend is within reach (finally!) and I’m really looking forward to my parents visiting Nashville during the long weekend. We’ll probably go to a lot of the new Nashville restaurants and places I talked about in last week’s recap post! Do you have any big plans for the weekend & Fourth of July?
I’m keeping today’s post pretty short—it was a fairly quiet week around here 🙂
Monday night, I was invited to check out the new CycleBar studio in the Gulch. It was exhausting but so much fun! I really enjoyed the ambiance of the studio. They keep the lights dim throughout class which made it feel much less intimidating—this was only my second time cycling. There is a large mirror at the front of the room though, and as the instructor takes you through different positions on the bike, it’s kind of cool to see everyone moving together with the rhythm of the music. Speaking of music, the playlist we had for class gets two thumbs up from me! Our instructor was awesome, too. My legs felt like Jello after class but definitely felt like I got a good cardio workout in!
On Wednesday night, I was invited to an event for Wente Vineyards (<– affiliate link) at City Winery. It was a gorgeous evening to be out on the rooftop, fine wine in hand, and learning about this fifth generation family-owned vineyard. I’ll be sharing more about the experience, Wente wine, and their #MakeTime movement more on the blog next week but for now, check out their concert page! Alanis Morissette, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Matt Nathanson?! Who wants to plan a trip to California’s Livermore Valley with me???
I hope you all have a safe & happy weekend! If you’re looking for recipes to help celebrate the 4th or for something to take to a cookout, here are a few of my favorites!
