Watermelon Fireberry Tea
Fresh watermelon juice makes this herbal Watermelon Fireberry Tea bright and fun for summer sipping!

Hi friends! Can you believe it’s the last week of July? You may have noticed my weekly Friday recap posts have been missing this month, but I’ve been trying to share some of the fun on my Instagram page! I will be sharing a little bit about one of the events I recently attended for the Nashville Wine Auction later on this week 🙂
But right now, I have another deliciously refreshing tea recipe to share with you! This Watermelon Fireberry Tea uses just two ingredients: watermelon juice + Tiesta Tea Fireberry Tea. The Fireberry Tea is a rooibos tea blend made with hibiscus, elderberries, currants, rooibos, sweet blackberry leaves, candied cranberries, rosehip, and rose petals. Isn’t it pretty?!
Rooibos is a South African plant and when harvested and dried, creates a reddish-brown herbal tea, often called “red tea”. Since rooibos is an herbal tea and not from the typical Camellia sinesis plant that black and green teas come from, it does not contain any caffeine. That means you can enjoy this tea any time of day!
Herbal teas are steeped differently than other teas. Herbal teas, including rooibos and maté, should be steeped for 5-7 minutes in water at a temperature of 208°F. For a quick crash course on brewing different teas, check out this Brewing 101 page.

I reallllllly love the color of this Watermelon Fireberry Tea. The watermelon lightly sweetens the tea and tastes great with all of the other flavors in the blend. Plus, it’s perfect for hydrating on hot summer days because watermelon naturally contains potassium, an electrolyte, and of course water. Keep a pitcher of this in the fridge to quench your thirst after a challenging workout or a day in the sun!
Even better, invite friends over and turn this into a tea cocktail by adding a splash of tequila or vodka. Partaaayy!
I garnished my Watermelon Fireberry Tea with a skewer of blackberries because 1) why not?, 2) they taste amazing soaked in the tea, 3) they look so pretty on top of the hot pink bev.
