#MakeTime Movement
This summer, join the Wente Vineyards #MakeTime movement and find time in your schedule for your passions!
Last week, I mentioned the Wente Vineyards event I attended to help kick off their #MakeTime movement and today I’m sharing more about the experience. Established in 1883, Wente Vineyards is located in the Livermore Vallery of California and creates 100% estate grown and certified sustainable wines.
Wente held a Wine & Music Pairing event at City Winery in Nashville—the perfect city for a music-focused event—to spread the word about the #MakeTime movement. #MakeTime is all about carving out time in our busy schedules for the things that inspire us and make us feel whole.
To help give you a better idea of the evening, here’s a short video from the night!
What are you truly passionate about? Do you make time for your passions each week?

Fifth generation winegrower, Karl D. Wente was at the event sharing about his passion for music and how the #MakeTime movement came about. That’s him on the left side of the stage in the video! It was really intriguing to hear him talk about how he draws parallels between wine and music. Each of the wines served that evening were “paired” with songs that Karl felt were a perfect match. Their “Nth Degree” Cabernet Sauvignon, one of my faves from the night, was matched with the Modest Mouse song “Float On”, which oddly enough is one of my favorite bands!
Reflecting on the evening and the #MakeTime movement, I plan on putting more effort into enjoying outdoor activities like hiking, kayaking, biking, & paddle boarding because I always feel refreshed, happy, and clear-headed afterwards! It’s important to find the things we love and make time for them, even in our hectic schedules. Taking time away to do what we enjoy most can help

Sounds like a fun event and an awesome movement! I definitely need to #MakeTime for more of the things I love.
We all need to make more time for ourselves and our families, this is a great reminder 🙂
You’re so right, Lauren! It’s so easy to get caught up in the day-to-day grind.
