Grilled Hoisin Steak Salad

Power up with this summer-inspired Grilled Hoisin Steak Salad featuring lean beef!

Grilled Hoisin Steak Salad

First of all, Happy Friday!

It’s time for the Recipe Redux post for the month, and we all have lunch on the brain. For those struggling with new lunch ideas, this post will provide all the inspiration you need to break out of lunch box boredom.

Last weekend, I did a couple of cooking demonstrations for work and made this Hoisin BBQ Steak-on-a-Stick with Pineapple Salsa. It was a hit with the crowd and super easy to make! With warmer weather and grilling season around the corner, this is a great recipe to keep in mind.

I’ve been wanting to make a mason jar salad for a while, and this seemed like the perfect opportunity. Don’t you just love all of the colorful layers?! If you pack this for lunch, layer all of the salad ingredients in a wide-mouth mason jar and keep the cooked beef in a separate container so you can easily reheat it before adding to the salad.

If you prefer to use the oven broiler to prepare the beef, that works well, too, just follow the broiling directions in the original recipe from Beef. It’s What’s for Dinner. I used my Cuisinart Griddler, and a cast-iron grill pan would work also. Make sure you get it hot, hot, hot before you add the beef and enjoy that sizzzzle 🙂

A 3-ounce serving of lean beef provides 25 grams of protein and 10 essential nutrients, including zinc, iron, vitamins B12, B6, and selenium. Research has shown that distributing protein intake throughout the day can be beneficial for overall health and improves satiety. The combination of juicy pineapple and mango, the creamy avocado, and the hoisin steak provides enough flavor that salad dressing really isn’t needed! I hope you enjoy this summer-inspired salad 🙂
