Heart-Smart Recipes
February is American Heart Month, and it’s easy to enjoy heart-healthy foods at every meal. Try one of these recipes today!
This post is not sponsored, but I work with The Beef Checkoff program, whose recipe appears in the TV segment shared below. As always, opinions are my own.
Happy Friday, friends 🙂
Yesterday, I had the opportunity to appear on Today in Nashville for a TV segment all about heart-healthy foods! It was so much fun hanging with Kelly and Carole and everyone else who appeared on the show yesterday, like Nick Fabian and his band. I have some new music to listen to now!
From breakfast to dinner, I shared easy ways to incorporate heart-smart foods at each meal and also made one of my new favorite salad recipes from Beef.ItsWhatsForDinner.com. You can watch the full segment and check out some of my favorite heart-healthy foods in the video below:
Did any of the foods I shared surprise you as being heart-healthy?

I’ve divided them into categories of foods that are important for an overall heart-healthy diet: fruits & vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and foods high in omega-3 fatty acids.
